I was at Snipe yesterday and got skunked.
It appeared to be a slow day for everyone. I noted about 20 tents on the ice and only a couple whites were caught so far as I could tell.

We were on the south shore near the new resort.

The ice was 12-16 inches, nice and clear.
There was no snow, so people were skating, playing hockey, and having a grand old time.

This is the second time this winter that Snipe has kicked my butt. Normally I get hooked into a few pike, but yesterday there was absolutely nothing. I saw a couple whitefish who swam by my wire worm like it didn't exist.

I'm thinking I'll try Sturgeon next.

Was at Sturgeon boxing day, 12-14" of good ice. Big pressure heave over at Sandy bay, had to use quad to get on ice. 7 wally's and one jack. Back to Sturgeon on the 2nd and caught 7 wally's and 4 jacks.
