Hey guys

The funniest thing I've seen ice fishin;
Stopped at Keho today on my way down to Lethbridge. Just as I got there I see buddy's flag go up and I can see the reel spinning. I holler at him because he didn't seem to notice or give a crap; he sonters over mumbling as if he is irritated by this. I watch him go hand over hand, pullin line, expecting to see a nice Keho hog but...
He hauls out a little muskrat! All of his buddy's are howling; he's cursing. I go over to check it out and the one fella says its about the 10th time this damn thing has tripped his flag!

I haven't seen that on Keho but have been there 2 different times when my buddy scrambles away from his hole as a muskrat comes crawling out onto the ice.

Always makes for a good laugh.

I had one in my garage this winter. Wife left the garage door up slightly for the cat and next day there was a muskrat under the stairs! No water within a mile and a half from our place! Was pretty funny.

I've caught them fishing at Crawling Valley and Gull in the summers. Reeling in, think ya got a fish and end up with a rat on the hook! Do they get ****ed!

I was at badger last weekend and it was about 10" of clear solid ice so I would think it should be fine. I don't think any of the waters south of Lethbridge will be fishable unless you are able to launch a boat.

it was 10 inches monday at Keho.. I'm hoping it's cold enough at night to keep it hard.

You will not see any muskrats coming up through your holes at Keho anytime soon, with last weeks wind and warm temps there is plenty of open water for them now
