Morning everyone,
Happy new year and all that stuff.

Question,
I have large bear skull in the deep freeze. Been there for over a dozen years. It HAS to come out soon and be done up. Wondering if anyone knows where I can send it to get it cleaned with the Dermestid beetles. An approximate price would be great.
I have a video on boiling it and whitening it, but am concerned the boiling might damage it after all these years.
There is a scary story, good memory attached, so I want a good, safe job done on it.
Thank's in advance.
Ken

If you can wait a few more month longer, stick it in a compost pile, but the end of the summer it will be cleaned and ready to be washed and whitened.

Simple, cheap and you do not have to worry about it.

Also good advice since it dont seem like you are in much of a hurry, over twelve years in the freezer.......you must be single lol.

Anyway here are some pics of my wolf I just got back from Northern Impressions Taxidermy In Edmonton.
I am really Happy with how white and perfectly clean it came out.

Andy Trudea in Jean Cote, south of Peace River, did my bear skull for me. He used the beetles, and it turned out real nice. Dont recall price, but it may be worth checking with him.

My buddy does the beetles out of Drayton Valley and he charges around $250 for deer skull.

I have cleaned a lot of bear, and deer skulls for clients with a pressure washer
it works very good just have to keep the wand right on the bone takes about 15- 20 mins:)
