Just a few of my favorites

-The Badlands, the area recently got its name due to the amount of dead animals left by us:sHa_shakeshout:

-The Game Farm, So many animals its like hunting a game farm!

-The Volcano, a old volcano..with about 8 licks and springs near by.

Rape Buck Field- On my uncles farm in Sask there was one field that will forever haunt me, it was my first year hunting 14 years old, and I'm getting into position to shoot at a buck and doe and off to my left a nice 4 by 4 came trotting at me, I was in shock on what to do as this buck looked to be licking his lips came closer to me then he ran to the other buck and doe. I shot and missed so my uncle moments later shot "Rape Buck" and forever saved me! Now whenever we're out there hunting we laugh about rape buck field.

Other's we have are the Moose Hole, because we shoot all of our moose out of this same valley.

The Well head, Trophy Rock and other things are all names of areas that have some sort of physical presence to getting the name.

Cheers,
Brett

The Hermit's

Good quarter we hunt on now. Many years ago we went to ask permission and wasn't sure who lived or owned the land. We asked a neighboring farm yard if they know who owned the land. They told us that this old guy lived in the grainery that you see at the entrance.

We went to visit and ask permission and yup living in a grainery with no power or water. He did get power a few years after we first met him. He went on to pass away over the winter one year and was suprised to not see him the next year when we made our yearly stop to say hi.

My buddy's question "Which stand you gonno go sit? The Hermit's?"

Good spot.

brothers. a section and a half owned by two brothers.

meat buck alley. a good place to fill a tag on the last hour of the last day if you havent got any sausage ingredients yet.

dales point. my favorite place to look over the river valley.

garys point. his favorite perch.

70s bush. the thickest nastiest hairiest patch of bush in the middle of wide open nothing for miles in every direction. reminds me of 70s porn. :scared:

the creek. where a creek meets the river.

our chevy is a 75. its perfect. the back window is the only one left and it blocks the normal wind which blows from the only direction that a deer isnt likely to show anyway. ive always wondered if it would count as hunting from a vehicle? i havent shot anything out of it yet....but one day....

the lookout. a peak in k-country that overlooks the best valley for elk i know of in that zone.

the bedroom. my best shed producing area. ever deer for miles seems to bed there during winter.

theres lots more, but some of them are giveaways for their location.

Most a named after who owns/owned the land. But we have a moose bush, 9 in the last 12 years came from there. And we have ol faith full. Where you can always see something there never anything trophy but always animals. Even this year we only went there once 5 , wt does & 11 muleys on the other side no bucks left them alone.

"Face Plant Fence Row", because its a 1/2 mile bush choked fence row about 20-30 meters wide that holds an amazing amount of deer. The reason its called "Face Plant" is because the first time my wife pushed it for me, she tripped amongst the canola stubble in the field and fell face down so fast and so hard, she left a "wife angel" in the light snow. I saw the whole thing happen from about 300 meters away. I was laughing so hard, a million trophy bucks could have come out of there, I wouldnt have been able to shoot any of them. And it was one of those cold, crisp, clear mornings where sound travels very well...i heard her startled shriek of futility as she realized she was falling and couldnt stop herself.
I have tears in my eyes from laughing as I type this. Sorry for any spelling errors.
