Out today on the Bow south of the city, fishing was good, great visibility but a lot of slush which made it challenging. Plenty in the 18"-20" range, most rainbows. Soft worm and midge patterns were boss. Caught a few tagged fish as well, which is a first for me on the Bow, I've been fishing the Bow river for years and these are the first tagged fish i've seen in there, can anybody add to this?

I am sorry I cant answer your question.. However, I was on my way north to Calgary and I have never seen so many people fishing the bow today.
south of the 22x and Glenmore and Deerft. meadows area

Glad you had a good day out !

this was between Policeman's and HW confluence we landed tagged fish in a couple different runs, never heard tell of tagged fish in the Bow before, maybe its something new? going to call FW when i get a chance, they should will have info on when and where fish was tagged.

I've never had one, but I've heard of quite a few people catching tagged fish on the bow. Simply call in the tag number to help the research move along, I believe.

nice shots. i know the river was electroshocked this year again. maybe some tagging was done at this time. tag looks to be fresh, no? someone on the board should have some solid info regarding this to share.

this was between Policeman's and HW confluence .

How do you get down into that area? Seems hard to find river access between Policeman's, McKinnon, etc.

there are number of places to gain access below Police, most however are a fair walk to the river and a better walk to get to the good runs, This time of year is especially good for access as there can be several places to take advantage of the low water and get out to the runs not accessible or visible during higher flows.
