Every rifle is different so no one can say how much is appropriate. I use magnums for better ignition in cold weather but started from a minimum load and worked up.

Why would you cut back on the powder?Just curious,,I always used magnum primers in my 22-250 never had any issues.Just used them for better ignition.

If you work up a load to max with standard primers there is a good chance that the same load will be over pressure with a magnum primer.
Always start low and work up with any combination. I would start very close to the min and work up with magnum primers.

Thanks for the info Deanmc I did not Know that,Lucky I started working up my load with magnum primers.I did manage to get away with 39grs of 4350 behind a 52 gr Speer HP,without excessive pressures.
