Okay, I'll bite...I know many are wondering. Hows the ice at the North end of PCR? Obviously it's going to be open at the bridge, but what about 50 yards off from there? Hoping to go Sat night for some burbs.

if you plan on going out for the night bite as stated and want to fish that close to the open water, i would recommend checking the ice conditions out prior to darkness falling. please, check it out for yourself in the daylight.

Ya, planning to go an hour before dark, just hate to waste a trip down there when I could go East for some thicker stuff. I saw that someone said 8" at Twin Valley so I'm thinking should be about the same at PCR.

I dont' know how it could be 8" when it was 6 about 10 real warm days ago.

It will be getting better now but myguess is the ice the last week has been rotting.

Be carefull

Hey plinker. 10 inches is pretty safe eh? Care to explain why you screamed and froze when the ice started booming. HAHA it was a great night!

There were huge cracks in it today with water flowing out of them. I could have avoided drilling holes altogether because I could fish the cracks.
