There's nothing that size at Cross lake. The funny thing was, There was one even bigger on the camera and the smaller one of the 2 perch bit my hook....I'm going back to get the bigger one soon. I was fishing with a guy that got a 2lb 14oz......Some of the perch i saw could very well be breaking records soon...

U know the lake i was fishing? Maybe the pics gave it away. The pike wern't really biting. We got about 12 in the day i was there...12lb's was the biggest so wasn't very good.

Ya, thats my favourite lake. I fish that same spot that you are at all the time and have seen some very nice perch come out of there.BTW; i edit out the background when i post pics on here.Maybe see you there someday.......

I've probably got 20 messages in the last hour asking me the same question. Buckmaster thought he got it right but was wrong. I doubt anybody would get it right because there wasn't many people at all fishing the lake....maybe 4 trucks( i brought 3 of them)Just the way i like it.

It was last March. We were fishing in 3 ft of water when i caught that big pig,My other friends were fishing in 1 foot of water and did really well yesterday . I usually fish for perch in deeper water but we changed the game plan and worked out really well.

It depends on the lake for me. Sometimes i fish deeper water if the lake only has a couple drop offs etc....usually the perch will be there unless it gets close to spawning time. It really depends on the lake.

Nice fish , as for depth , got my limit in Sask of 10-11 inchers from 44ft on thursday ! Fishing in that foot of water stuff is hard on the head !

Looks a lot like a lake i wash fishing the day after boxing day.The vehicle in the background (if its the lake im thinking of) is fishing on a good spot. We also had to chase the perch in the shallows in 1 to 3 ft of water.

This is how i did. No 14 inchers but i can't complain.

Are we going to start this again? If he wants to keep the lake quiet, all the more power to him. If you catch huge perch like that and want to tell everyone where to go, then all the more power to you. Let's just be happy that someone had good success and leave it at that.

That fish is beside a 60 pounder, not a 40 pounder haha. I'm gonna chill this week since it's cold out, then when it warms up i will go slay somemore fish. This cold weather came at the perfect time... The wife is getting a little anoid... I have fished 14 of the last 25 days and have travelled thousands of kilometers...i go back to work february 6th so i gotta get a few more trips in before i go back.

It wasnt very long. It was only 14.5" .I just weighed it on an electronic pan scale... She was just over 2lb. I weighed it at the lake on some crappy scale and wanted to weigh it on some more accurate scales. So i think pikeral pat was the one who got the length and weight right. Not very long but really fat.

Thats a pig for sure!!! I know about 2 dozen guys on here that have caught a 2 pound perch.....Yet only 2 guys on here including yourself have the pictures :lol:

6-1 doesn't scare me...any of the 300 pounds muscle mass or just ate too much sausage. Just wondering cause i would probably take a couple punchs to the head to find out the "spot". lol, just kidding, i'm sure sooner or later someone will let the cat outta the bag.

I did stir the nest. I can honestly see why my buddy was a little upset. If u look at the first page people were saying "I fish that spot all the time" or thanks for the private message" inducating that i had told people where i was. I never even told u rumtan and i fish with u....I told him i wouldn't post anything about the lake on the forum and i'm gonna keep my word.I recieved over 50 private messages from people asking where i was fishing. I did not tell any members that sent me messages where i was fishing. They were just trying to stir the pot. I had alot of people guess the name of the lake,and frankly,nobody was even remotely close. I have fished this lake multiple times before,but my buddy was kind enough to take me up there again,drill my holes and put me on some nice perch....He is not a fan of telling complete strangers where the jumbo perch are and either am i. I will talk fishing all day long and give people the best advice as possible....But ,that's where it ends. Thanks for the comments everyone.

Hi I am new to posting and probably the site etiquette as well here is my story. My dad and I love to fish for perch my dad is probably going to have very minimal trips remaining to fish and him and I are in search of a couple descent perch fishing lakes around Edmonton. I have a secret lake that I am willing to share the location of that I am fairly sure most people on this site have no knowledge of and there are some monsters in there and is very underfished. What I am after is one or two people two pm me with the location of their secret perch spot in return I will share mine. I am not talking about places that are talked about all the time on here. Just maybe that unnamed lake that you and maybe a few buddies know about. We are not looking to get all day bites and limit out we are looking for a place that is quality not quantity. Any responses will be appreciated. I promise not to share your location with anyone but me my dad and my six year old son. In return for the same of you.

The fish he caught, and posted, was decent, but I've caught some in there that are HUGE (very close if you catch my drift).

Now there are people there all the time. And I'm hearing it every once in a while on the forum. doing a search before this incident - the name only comes up once or twice.

Keep the spot to yourself - finding those honey holes is what makes fishing intersting.
