anyone ventured up this week and can shed some light on the amount/condition of the snow on spray and the k lakes. i'm thinking it's not going to be as easy going as it's been. thanks for any reports.

Was up by Lower k today. Peninsula area is obviously fully frozen over. Didn't venture out on the ice itself, but I'm guessing there'd be around 30cm of snow on the ice. Snowing hard on and off all day long. Bring a shovel if you're gonna drill holes. Couldn't see if anyone had been out on that end of the lake, as I came and went before and after daylight. It was really nice and warm too, ~-1 degree C all day. Temperature rose 15 degrees in over two Km in the morning going by the Morley casino.

Nice warm day up there, snowed off and on, I fished the lower lake Saturday off the boat launch, 8" snow on top of 1.5" soft ice on top of 3" slushy ice, then 12 " ice. Every once and a while would break through the soft ice walking out. As the day warmed up the snow was sucking up water from the ice making it wet when we walked off. Only ice 2 lost 5 others,
