Nice pics, Packhunter.

Just to round things out, here is one I took last night of the moon in near full eclipse to give some idea about how red it gets. It was a good night to photograph the event!

Wow, that picture is a beauty Don!! Hey, i was shooting through my spotting scope on tripod, and was beginning to get mad cause everything kept moving. I would set up and get centered in the scope, and by the time i was ready to shoot with the camera, the moon had been moved to the top right of the spotting scope. It took dum dum about 3......mabey 4 times of resetting the tripod and scope to figure out it wasnt the equipment shifting!!!!:mad3: Get this, planets move!!! Wow, what a concept. It was alarming just how fast too. Boy was i mad at the spotting scope and tripod though:mad3: , checked everything afew times!! Shouldnt have said anything me thinking, but, what the hay!

didn't the U.S shoot a Satellite out of the sky last night as well? The news said western canada would have been able to see that last night too.
