Was it just us, or did everyone have a tough time of it out at Pigeon this weekend. Weather was great, unfortunately the fish didn't co-operate. Of course we were targeting whites, which I know can be finicky, but still.........

I cant vouch for the whitefish, but I did see pics of a monster pike on Facebook that came out of Pigeon yesterday. 30 pounds...?

I will see if I am allowed to post. Pretty sure I can being that the lucky angler is a AO member and advertiser.

30lbs that would be a mighty big pike for Pigeon Lake although I wouldn't be too surprised of them getting that big with all of those walleye and whitefish to feast on.

Caught a couple of dandy Pike myself yesterday on Pigeon plus a few real nice whitefish to boot (kept one for the smoker). Struck out on the Walleye although I wasn’t targeting them. Quantity wasn’t there this outing but the quality was.

Yes indeed they are few and far between. I have yet to crack the 30 lb mark on Pigeon. I do have one buddy that got a 32 and a 34 back to back winters on Pigeon. He put both on the wall and they look pretty impressive together.

If I saw one swim past never mind caught a 30lb+ pike anywhere I'd be extremely satisfied. A 32lb and a 34lb is impressive.

Kept the White while the Pike were promptly returned back to the waters right after the photo's.
