I'm sitting at the north end of the dam about 150m and close to the east side. I just measured the ice thickness and I'm at 18 3/4 of an inch.

18 inches isn't thick enough? I've had 3/4 ton diesels on 18 inches without any worries.

There where 2 trucks on the ice today. They drove across with no issues.

18" should be more than plenty, I think its safe to drive on, but of course due diligence.
