CV Last Sunday

Me and GOT1 hit CV on Sunday. Pretty nice day, lots of people out. The wind picked up pretty good for a few hours and calmed down for a little to let us enjoy an hour or so of fishing after dark. Typically was a slower day, didn't see some of the other people pulling out much either (the people we could see anyway). There was a bit of snow on the ice but pretty much all melted by the end of the day, up to two inches of water in some low spots. 19-20" of ice so wasen't too concerned with all the ice melting. Ended up landing 6 Pike, 26-30", one 19" Walleye and a nice 7lb Burb just after dark. All in all a good day, just nice to get out finally.

Pretty good access right now with no snow in the fields, so hopefully you can get out there. This was only my second time ever fishing CV. Always wanted to but never took the time. Stuck to the lakes I knew already. But I just met GOT1 a month or so ago, so he took me to his favorite haunt. Nice looking spot. Dont know if i can ever remember how to get back to that spot, so many forks in the road (feilds), left here, right there, yada yada. I hadn't been fishing since Boxing day, so it was just nice to get out.

I didnt see one person walk out. Lots of vechicles. A couple here, one there, four over there. We did drive on too. Ice wasn't cracking and booming like some days.
