Ya the pic could have been better; it was a quick snap with the iphone.
Looks like it should be more, but it only weighed in at 17.5.
I caught it on a silver Matzuo rattlin shad; jigging it in about 10' of water.

certainly looks bigger than 17 lbs to me also...

also next time you should try hooking your scale on the bottom of the gill plate... especially if you are planning on releasing a fish after weighing it...

Great looking Pike

LOL - for the first EVER we are yelling at a guy to tell him his fish is heavier than he said it was .... lol. that made me chuckle ..... it definitely looks 20-25 to mee too.

on the other hand, as we all know, the photo makes fish look bigger or smaller depending on angles. It might be 17.5???? I caught an 11 that looked 16 and caught a 14 that looked like a 9 .............. it could be.

I can only think of a few fish I've caught this season which that gator couldn't tear to pieces.

Top of the food chain FTW

Ya, was pretty decent; there were 3 times that I had it into the hole and it changed its mind and went for another run. On the 4th time in the hole my buddy grabbed either side of the head and hauled it up. The whole time I was cursing "damn barbless hooks don't fail me now!" :)
