Having a great day on Gull. Landed 4 lost another 5. MONSTER burb but missed it.

Was there on east side, limited out on whites in a couple of hours, heading home!
Good deal. We are on the west side first bay out from Brownlows.
Itching to go, want to head out there on Sunday. How many FOW were you fishing over?

That doesn't mean that the ice is safe to drive on.

its safe at gull. theirs lots of people driving all over and across the middle with trucks and i was on it a few days ago.

It was a city on the lake today, I've is as thick as a hand auger, to the wing nut, is tall. Only a few light cracks when trucks were driving by.
No whitefish or perch, but had about 30 fish under us today, and landed half. All pike.

its safe at gull. theirs lots of people driving all over and across the middle with trucks and i was on it a few days ago.
Ok sounds good thanks But Nate is right just because there 28" of ice don't mean anything. Seen trucks go through 30" on Simcoe

Yes, I agree, but Simcoe is a completely different body of water, that never fully freezes, sorta like BOQ, in Deseronto area. Ice can be 10" different in a span of only a few feet!!
Search for the accident in lake Ontario...I think...or Erie. A huge chunk of ice broke off. Of the main ice shelf, people WITH their vehicles were stranded for hours until the coast guard arrived.

ya thats happened a few times we use to fish the ice flows when I was a lot younger on Erie. Did st Williams lots the old canal in Cardinal and up and down the St Lawrence.
