Was an awsome couple hours at fishing the n.s.r, got caught up waiting for a train in clarview, then arrived at the river, first thing we saw was a beautiful Bald Eagle watching my friend and i fish, was so cool to see this eagle in northwest Edmonton, caught a nice 6 pound pike, 4 pound pike and some smaller ones then that, lost a bunch as well, the eagle then took off after a duck and caught it in mid flight which was so amazing, who knew there were Bald Eagles in Edmonton, with all the ducks there this spot would be a great food source for him.

Those are great pictures. Must have been an awesome day.

That pike looks larger than 6 lbs by the way.

Maybe is but may as well be more conservative :)

thanks, was wicked, seeing the Bald eagle taking off after a duck, those white and black looking ducks and catching him was awsome to see. He was eyeing the pike we caught, wish i could have fed him.

The black and white photo of the full tree with the eagle could win some photo contests. One of the best collections of photos I've seen on this board

Hey thanks a lot, was a blast, my buddy could not believe the hole we were fishing, was halarious because he was packing up his gear before we even got down to this spot as he saw ice and a small pool, hes like lets go, i was like are you kidding me watch this, first cast boom in less then 2 seconds, then he got his boots on, and then showed me up with a couples beautys himself, nothing beats fishing on the n.s.r with a Bald eagle over looking your shoulder begging for a fish, it was stunning, it was like fishing the coast of b.c, then to see him take off fast for a flying duck was even more amazing.

Now that is a thread worthy of AO BGSH. Keep posting this style of thread and you'll reduce the number complaints about you. Good for you in getting out there.

Cool shots.

Were these done with that Nikon D700 and 24-120mm lens you told me you got a couple weeks ago? My offer to teach you how to use it is still good... but maybe you got the hang of it already if these were shot with that camera?

No these pictures were with a regular 200 dollar camera, if i knew the eagle was going to be there i would have brought the goods, trust me, chance of a lifetime fishing the n.s.r with a Bald eagle

Since you love photography so much, and you've got a budget of $1600 bucks a month for fishing gear, maybe dip into that a bit and buy your own webspace? Or get a photobucket pro account. It'd save you from having to make multiple photobucket accounts and avoid these bandwidth errors.... you're on your what? Fourth account? Just a thought.

No these pictures were with a regular 200 dollar camera, if i knew the eagle was going to be there i would have brought the goods, trust me, chance of a lifetime fishing the n.s.r with a Bald eagle

You're out fishing a lot and take tons of photos, you might as well take out the big camera too. You'll never learn how to use it properly if its just sitting on the shelf collecting dust. My offer to teach you how to use the camera still stands.

Kevin, Give it a rest. He's posted a positive thread, give him points for that.

I sure did give him points :)

Just asking about his new camera equipment, offered to help him learn how to use it and a couple of suggestions to avoid exceeding his bandwidth. I didn't mean to knock him in anyway.
