San diego fly fishing?

Ive searched all over the net and cant find much about flyfishing the san diego area.
Does anyone have any info about the area? Should i even bother bringing a rod?

don't know about fly fishing but if the yellowtail are out in the ocean thats what you should be after. you can get on a group boat that does overnight trips for cheap. they take you down to mexico while your sleeping and you wake up at the fishing grounds. never done one yet since my old man has his own boat but they look like great trips. pm me if your looking for more info. also check out bloodydecks website. they cover that area.
