Those are not Yellow perch, they are European perch, which are significantly larger. Its not really a fair comparison.

Although, those perch in the video do look an awful lot like ours.

those guys are fishing in Siberia and its far north in russia I believe,
the climat there is close to Yukon , the lake location maybe too far to access allowing the perch to grow that size, I fished in Europe and the perch there looks exactly the same as in Canada and on the average the same size....,
There maybe for sure a different strain somewhere, but in central europe the perch are identical. I wonder if you let perch go on for like 3-4 seazons what size would that reach here?? , 2 seazons ago I caught perch of similar size at Spring Lake, before the last year's winter kill, when I hooked to it I swore I had a decent size trout on the line, but when I finally got it out of the water I was shocked how big that perch was...
