What was the thickness of the ice ? were there any vehicles on the lake ?
Did it still look solid ? Was there any water on the ice ?

Dad and I were out on Sunday, looked like a monster derby going on, very crowded, lots of vehicles out and many parked together. About 19" ice and the fishing was great, over 20 caught, largest was 14" and full of eggs.

i was there yesterday and the ice was 20 inches, our group had around 70 people( airdrie hunting and fishing assocaition), and alot of people parking on ice, i would have to say atleast 300 people out there yesterday. real nice ice and no water on top, about 3 inches of snow, but still very slippery.our group probably caught well over a hundred fish with 99% being released.

I was out at Chain on Friday, wasn't too crowded. I think I pulled up 15+ trout, but they were all pretty small at 8-9". Had a fun day, even if they were all little guys. Hopefully they grow up for next year :)
