digital camera suggestions

Time to get a new digital camera, something fuctional and compact that a guy can slip into a shirt pocket or a backpack. I want one for field shots while fishing and hunting without breaking the bank. Anyone have any suggestions on what to buy or what to stay away from?

If I was buying a pocket camera for the outdoors, my number one choice is the Pentax W30. I have an older model that works great, and I am lusting after this new improved version.

At work, I was issued an Olympus Stylus 720SW. It also is waterproof etc, and works well. But, if I am spending my own money, I will be buying the Pentax based on my prior experiences with their product.

I have the Olympus Styles 300. It has been awesome. Think it was like $300 or so a few yrs back. But it takes great pics and is weather proof, nice size. I think you could get one with way more MP for the same price now.

Like TheClash has suggested already, I have one of the Panasonic cameras with the Leica lenses. Here is the model that I have:

I got it for the same reason that you are looking for, something that takes good pictures but is small and can easily fit in your pocket. It's also fairly inexpensive, mine was purchased for Christmas at Walmart and was around $200 I believe.
