Wondering if there is any good sturgeon fishing close by Edmonton. Planning on trying it this year and looking for a guide or charter close to Edmonton.

You can catch sturgeon right off shore right in Edmonton at most locations where there is good access or if you still want to go with a guide, this guy does a lot of guiding on the NSR

You can always just get some jackfish rigs and a bucket of worms, talk to the guys at TFH for a general location, head out and wrangle some dino's

My understanding was when they stopped issuing tags that you could not fish for them even under catch and release.

false. you can fish them but you cant keep anything between 0 and 60 feet.

Do you like to fistpump and hair-gel? If so, I may know where to find a guide for you. I expect everything would be supplied, as he spends $1600 every month on gear, so hopefully he has a second setup for you to use
