gull lake report

fished there from 11:30am to 4:00pm today, used wired worm tipped with maggots since i was chasing perches and whites, not a single bite. :confused: I saw two other people close by, one caught two pikes, another guy got nothing the same as me... no fun!:thinking-006:

I assume you mean a "wire worm"?? What part of the lake?

i remember someone here said if a cold front coming in, the fish wouldn't bite.....I checked the weather report minutes ago. There is indeed a cold weather coming! maybe this is the reason? does anyone know more about this?

If this is true, I would remember to check the weather before loading my gear on my 4x4 next time..

i got the little orange shack stright out from wilsons beach, i caught my 18th whitefish today, plus 2 pike so far:)

3 of us were on the east side and south about a mile, Sunday got on the ice at about 9am and fished until 3pm. We got 12 really nice ones but should have had our limit by noon, we all missed about 8 or 10 each.....
Same old thing, bite when you aren't looking, wrong end of the hook, missed the set, fished missed the hook, broke the line etc. etc.
Had a great time a very nice day to be out.
We used yellow wire worm and a couple of maggots..... seem to work ok only a couple swam by without taking a go at the hook.

not going say where,the spot is a from members.hit perch all weekend when the sun was out, close to a dozen 12"+ perch, half a dozen pike, all but 1 keeper size saw a few walleye and jknd saw a ling in the area.gull has been good to us the last little while.

I agree gull has been really good for perch this year lots of big ones every time out biggest being just over 13 inches

What the ice condition a gull. Heading up next weekend for the first time this year and wondering if I should bring the quad or if the 1/2 ton is okay.
