I bought myself a new gun yesterday and not just to **** off a liberal:D The dealer was all excited. He had just got a call from a retired RCMP officer, he knew, that with the Senate passing the Omnibus Crime bill, the Registry was dead. I haven't been able to find any confirmation and always thought the Registry was a separate issue.

I dont think so.( if I could get to CGN at work I'd know 100%)

I am pretty sure the Crime Bill you speak of, had nothing in it to do with the Long Gun Registry.

The Bill to eliminate the Long Gun Registry has'nt even been tabled for reading in the House of Commons, and FWIW, it was declaired a housekeeping bill, which means it wont be a confidance vote.

And also the Bill only eliminates the Long Gun Registry, Restricteds same old same old, 12(*) prohibs, no change, and all the licencencing provissions remain status quo too.

If I were you, Id go to the CSSA's web page, or canadiangunnutz, and do some searching, the information is pretty in depth, but will fill in many of your mis informations gaps.
