NIce Newell day

ended up losing to the pike today 10 to 5. Biggest was just under 10 pounds, had a 5 pounder spool my tipup, took off like a rocket and just kept going. No wind at all , opposite of yesterday, some light snow and lots of bites. Great way to end my week off.

I have noticed from my new fishing experience that the colder it is , the more bites you get ! :S its odd. It was blowing wind yesterday and my bf caught a moby pike!

We were there in the hurricane yesterday and only caught a couple of dinks and a few other bites. Gave up on going on the outside lines and wimped out and we just turned the heat up and fished inside. I think we were the only crazy people that I noticed. Mind you other than the first hour or 2 we couldn't see anyway if there was anyone else.

Glad you had a good day out on Newell. I was there on saturday and the wind irritated me enough that I didnt stay as long as planned. wish I had gone sunday instead as it sounds like you had a pretty nice day out there.
