Well, we made our annual hardwater pike trip to tobin. Had lots of people telling us how slow it was, Well were they wrong. probably caught over 30 pike and we were only able to fish a day and a half, but it was alot of fun. Were still looking for our monster thou, none this trip, i think buck krazy got our pike last wend, lol. And what a hog. Anyways, here are some pics of the trip. hope you enjoy. And all fish were released.:sHa_shakeshout:

cool pics..... the last pic....... is that your hard water livewell? looks like a bunch of holes punched together not quite all the way through the ice with one of the middle holes all the way through? awsome.

Looks like the fishing was great!
And that's how you drill a live-well. I saw you guys using one in a video a long time ago... ended up making for a monster my brother caught...Looks like a big auger though, I don't think mine even compares.
Thanks for sharing

lmao.
Every trip we manage a 44inch or so. this trip the biggest was just under 42. Still looking for that 47+incher, Then the catch and release will no longer apply. lol. Gonna be hanning from the wall. Prob just get a replica and let her go when the time comes. hahah.
And we put the pike in the livewell right away and get the hooks out there so she can breath, then if its big enough take her out for pics and measurements for the online pike tourny. We say, if you hold your breath and run out of air (yourselft) , you've had the fish out to long.

Great Fish, thanks for sharing. Tobin looks like quite the fishery.
Any thoughts on how the pike in that lake are managed with the slot limit?
Do you see potential in AB waters for that to work
Can't wait to see a pic of what you consider a monster as I am sure the bar is pretty darn high!

Well done Sean! Wish I could have made it this year. I know fishing has been slower there this spring but that is when proper technique will still catch fish! Nice work.

Wholey! Those are some awesome sized pike! I'd definitely rank Tobin a world class fishery.

Nice water wolves! The combined weight of ten or twelve pike I've caught this year might add up to one of those monsters.:)

We found a map of the old farmland with treelines before the dam was built. we set up along a tree cutline neer a old creek bed. We put on 4 chains on the truck and kick her into 4x4 and make our own road to our gps'd spot about 4kms away from everyone. Without those chains, there would be no way we could get to our spot, lol. We would have to fish like everyone else, right off the beatin road where there are no fish, hahaha.
Awesome pics. Thank you for posting not enough pictures like this on here these days. Keep at er
