I am looking into buying a sylvan 1700 expedition sport ---- it has 115 hp merc and is $6000 less than the same boat with a 90 hp merc last year. Can anyone tell me more about these boats?

I have a 2 year old Sylvan profish 16.5 with a 75 yamaha 4 stroke. The boat itself is really comfortable for fishing with 2 livewells, cd, and full cover tarps to fish while raining. I did some research on Sylvan and they seem to be a good value for the dollar. I do really like the walkthru windshield, stops a lot of water from hitting you when it is rough

Dont know much about this brand of boat since I have always had Lund. Sounds to good to be true, but curious as to what they are asking for the unit in question.

I have had a Sylvan Super Sportster for 12 years now and have had no problems at all. I have had this boat on the water for hundreds of hours, in all kinds of conditions and do not have any leaks. Sylvan boats are typically built slightly lighter (check your spec sheet) than some other models, but IMO they are still the best bang for your buck.

Legends boats are built with 100 gauge aluminum. Some other boats use like 90 on bottom 75 on the sides. They have the best deals for packages and you they have the only stand up top that you can drive full speed with. There is also a dealer now in Calgary. I know they are not the common brand, but you get a good value for what you pay for. Other companies you pay for the name.
