coyote hunting on sunday,(privte land) first stand awsome spot, set up started to call 3 minutes in a really nice smoky color comes runining in. my hunting partner and i both stuned, he came in to 30yards dead run. i barked to try and stop him, nope troted right past us about 30 feet! i shot and my buddy shot, 2 clean misses at 30feet :angry3: 7mm and .22mag. once we calmed down we made one more stand, inlaws property, set up started calling this time about 10 min in, looked down the hill and there was a big black wolf looking right at us 65 yards through some willowes. called real quite (madd dog distress) trying to get him to take one more step. once he took a step i lined up and CLICK!!! WTF!!! :angry3: wolf runs off. i forgot to chamber a round after we were set up!!!! and at the angle my buddy was at he could not even see it until it was to late. on the brite side i called in 2 wolves in 2 stands in 1 day my personal best. would have been beter to have hit them both but cant win them all! lesson lerned. off to buy the biggest shot gun i can find!! lol
