He works for Wild Tv not Shaw ....why would he know the inner workings of shaw anymore than you?

might be a stupid question but... I just got Shaw digital HD cable and box.
I checked the listings, no channel 170 it jumps from 169 to 177, when I enter the channel # 170 it go's to 177. I have been through the settings trying add the channel but I cant seem to find anything...am I missing something?

The channel is live now, but you have to subscribe. I couldn't see channel 170 so I initiated a Shaw Support Chat on their website and 10 minutes later I now have the channel. $2.95/month. Standard def, but the rep said HD would be made available at some point.

I would say that the differing channels are for different cities. Check with Shaw to see where it will be in YOUR area.

I got mine with Shaw and I think it was $2.95 per month for the channel itself.
