I am heading out] in the morning to hopefully catch my first white. been hunting them all season without even a bite, so yes I am unexperienced at catching them.

I have magggots, wireworms, and wetaskwins, all the apparent essentials.
I have a fishtv so I know when fish are in the vicinity, I just can't get them to bite.

Anyway. Do any of you guys have any suggestions for me for the morning, I will be leaving edmonton bright and early. Which is my best bet to find fish?

Please help a brother out! lol

thanks

my advice is to check for fish then pull the camera. I have the fish tv as well and did not start catching all the whites i was seeing till the camera was up

really! I'll try that.. do you lift the camera when you see some fish in the area? where do you normally fish for whites?

Im not sure the camera is all its cracked up to be. I only drop things that look like food. They are spooky smart devils and can see like a hawk. Keep all noise nonexistent, watch that your not exposing too much of your face in the hole if your fishing clear and shallow, and dont take your eyes off the ball!!!! When you have your first bonafide takes, if you arent staying focused on the hook, and are watching the fish, you will miss the take. They will have it in and out faster than you can react to it. If your watching nothing but the ball, when it disapears, its a nice immediate hookset and your having some fun. Try fishin them up in about 6 feet give or take, and be drilled out before light. Be set up and watching down the hole ready for action......Way too much fun!!!!

keep a strain on er.

personally i fish for whites at wabamun. i don't keep any
i have a fish tv and they never get spooked
last time we went we caught 6 and 8 and all were on the camera
mark-edmonton my advice is a wireworm with a very small piece of minnow
expose the hook enough so it can go into their mouth
they take them on and off the bottom. if they do not take the lure 5-10 inches off bottom try putting it on bottom
also don't jig your lure when they come close to it but jig if they are a distance away
we usually have luck in about 8-12 feet of water
tell me if you keep the whitefish or not than i can tell a good spot
good luck
