I am going hunting tomorrow. Thought I would toss out an invitation. If you are a responsible hunter and can shoot with restraint in the company of dogs then you are welcome to join. I am leaving Edmonton no later than 9AM, preferably 8AM and must be back by 4PM. Those with a spot of crown or private land with no vehicle traffic get high priority, otherwise I am driving until I find a patch that I like, probably north west or south west. Respond if interested. Will be up for another couple hours.

Guess I should add, the place I hunt is an old abandoned logging road, there is maybe half a dozen wells on the 30 km road, I have only once met a well operator on it. As fat as that goes there are thousands of km of raids on crown land around here. Not.hard to not see anyone if you don't want to

I was actually thinking of the Whitecourt area. I don't know the area very well, but if you are willing then I am up for it.

Should point out that I will be driving a van, so as long as the roads are plowed I am good. My original spot was to be some leases/crown land out by Lodgepole.

I don't have anything bettet to do tomorrow, except fix.my boat but I can do that any day lol. Like I said, i don't have a honey hole per say, burning have.been snaring them for the last few years and have been seeing lots of them all over.

The place i was thinking on you may need 4x4 truck or van. But, there are lots of.otherbroads around that should be.good. I seen a lot of trucks around town today covered in mud so the back roads may not Benin great shape. It was plus 12 here today. I got a truck if need be

From Edmonton from spruce grove head west to hwy 43, then stay on it to whitecourt. It's about 150 km from spruce, so an hour and a bit.

I meant the logging roads and other areas that you have seen the rabbits. How far out of whitecourt are they and which direction from the town?

send via pm if you don't want to post, not that rabbits are a big secret...just want to know so I can plan the day if I am going to have to overshoot or undershoot the town in terms of driving

I shoot 7.5 because they had a bunch of it on sale last fall. It's just the winchester bulke stuff but it works good.

yeah I don't think the rabbit cares much once its dead. wouldn't work on jackelope but the snowshoes aren't too tough. I got my 6 shot for $8/box. Thought that was a deal.

Sounds like a fun time, but I didnt see the thread with enough time to spare. Helping my mom and dad in the morning. Last time i went rabbit hunting was before the last big snow... out towards Fort Sask/Red Water... it was glorious!

The way I see the snow melting.. I may find myself out with a .22lr next weekend. Got to take advantage of any brown ground with white bunnies on it.

We are far from brown ground around here but a day hunting is better than a day doing laundry lol
