Other then time is there a better way to dry out a water logged interior of a truck?? I have it out in the yard with the windows down so it doesnt get musky inside. I soaked up what I could with paper towel, but its still pretty wet in there.

Well I got a jacked up samurai I drove thru a puddle that was about 4' deep last spring and the water was about 2" deeper than my seat. It's got drain plugs in the floor and no carpet so it's not too bad to dry out. I'd say crank your floor heater on full open your windows and keep your door closed. Let it idol for about 2hrs then shut it off and leave the doors open for an hour. Repeat. Works for me.

Haven't had a chance to look up the Fishin thread, but I hope you at least caught some fish while you were out!

Pull the carpet if it's really bad and begins to smell. Just take the seat bolts out. Dealerships and car detailing places do this to truly get the carpets clean.

Thats great info and an idea, I didnt even think about that. Hopefully I dont have to do that :) but it will be on the back of my mind in a couple weeks if it starts to smell lol

Shopvac like above, and go to Cdn Tire or the dollar store and get those super absorbent foam towels that are meant for such situations.

Open the doors up so the wind can circulate through. that works well.

Try kitty litter to get the last bits of moisture out. That stuff just sucks up water

A good dehumidifier will suck an unreal amount of water out of carpet. I have a big high en one, and our fish tank leaked about 15 gallons into the floor a few years back. The dehumidifier has a 1 gallon collection tank, and I was emptying it a few times a day. It may sound goofy, but it will help get the last remnants out.

Check your insurance if your front end was in that far they may call it a write off.

Do you have a heated garage, take out the seats and the carpet and throw them in a heated garage for a few days with the heater cranked. Then rent a rug doctor and some cleaners and steam clean every inch of the upolstry. Then hope to hell when its 30 degrees, it dont start to smell. That foam in the seats can take forever to dry out. When I worked in the bodyshop, a customer came in who had her sunroof out when she went through a automatic car wash. We removed all of the above mentioned interior and put it through a couple bake cycles of the paint booth to try and dry it out.
