Red deer river near the forestry trunk road bridge

Has anyone been up the red deer river on the forestry trunk road near the bridge. How is the road? Is the river covered in ice still? Just wondering, april first is rolling around pretty quick and I can't wait to get out.

flowing water at sundre. no where near fishable yet. hope this year is better than last . got 2 days in out west then river stayed dirty and high till mid july.
