House Liens. Info needed.

Does any one have any experience with house liens and how they work, how long the last for, how to have them removed and so on? Feel free to PM me if you do not want to discuss in public. Thanks

House liens remain attached to your title until you remove them.. lenders will usually not lend on properties that have a lien attached and you will be unable to sell your home until it is removed.

As far as I know the only way to remove one is to contact the lien holder and have them remove it.. If it was placed illegally or incorrectly and you can prove it you can contact a lawyer and they will petition to have it removed.
