Just wondering if those of you who hit the NSR regularly have been seeing many RMW's recently. Seems like they're always around right after ice off while the water is still really cold and then they're gone for the rest of the season.

I have never caught one in the nsr. I heard of people catching them but thought they were telling stories. What did you get that one on?

It's been a few years since I got one. I was thinking about that last year why I dont see them. Nice to see you get em Jay.

PS - it is my goal this year to find a new (more secluded) spot on the river to have room to back cast. Maybe I will find them in my new hole.

Really? The only time I've got them around the Fort is around this time of year while there's still a lot of ice on the river and the water's really cold.

Can't recall for sure, but I may have gotten one right at the end of the season as well, within a day or two of the river freezing up.

I've never targeted them, I usually only target them when I'm in the mountains. Very solid fish though! Congratz, it might be worth targeting them in the NSR sometime.
