Anyone been to Chile recently??

Just wondering what the scoop was for this country. Is it stable? Any kidnappings, anything like that. My gf may be going there for business and was just wondering if there were any concerns??

I was there 2 summers ago. Chile is one of, if not the most stable country in South America. Apparently the economy is the best in SA. Great, great people. Very friendly and helpful. I hope you and/or your girlfriend speak Spanish because there are not very many who speak English and those who do think they can speak English. The Canadian dollar will buy you a lot in Chile. If you stay in Resorts you will get hosed but if you live like the Chileans you will get a lot for your dollar. We lived like Chileans and loved it. Where are you going? BEL
