Sheepslams dall sheep pedistal mount

Here is some photos of Sheepslams dallsheep pedistal mount. It was fun doing this piece for him.....he had some very specific visions as to how he wanted the pedistal base to look like. The goal was to incorporate a partial walnut pedistal with a shale rock face going down to the floor. Really like how it turned out......next a lifesized mountain goat on a rocky crag......Marco

great looking mount. i like the pose and love the rock! myself, i would have skipped the wood and gone with straight rock, but if that what SS wanted, then i reckon its perfect.

Hi Doublegun.....most of the pedistal mounts I finish the backs off in rock. I've enclosed a picture of the back so you can see. I put sheep tracks on the back aswell......just something I like doing. Thanks for the compliment.

Thank Marco for posting that for me, as usuall when im on days off i dont check my emails much, I cannot be more happy with how it turned out, i thought of running straight rock down but i like the looks of integrated wood work in pedastals as well, cant wait to see how the goat turns out, thanks again Marco for another job well done
