Admittedly, a bit of a long shot to sell here, but there are a few bug people I've met already on AO, and who knows what else could be lurking around. :)

Downsizing my collection to work with a smaller number of species, and divesting of almost all NW species because of the urticating hairs. I'm narrowing the OW species I will be working with as well, which is why the H. maculata are for sale.

I will be in Calgary and Edmonton next week, so delivery may be possible.
All tarantulas come with their enclosures. As you can see, there are several potential breeding projects in the sale offering.

2x Brachypelma vagans, unsexed juveniles - $30 each
1x Bracypelma vagans, female subadult/adult - $75
1x Lasiodora parahybana 1.5" sling - $20
2x Lasiodora parahybana 3.5" juvieniles - $35 each
1x Brachypelma auratum, female adult/subadult - $125
1x Cyclosternum fasciatum, 2" unsexed juvenile - $25
1x Cyclosternum machalla, 2" unsexed juvenile - $25
1x Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens, 2.5" unsexed juvenile - $60
1x C. cyaneopubescens, female adult in exoterra upright terrarium - $125
2x Heteroscroda maculata, 3" unsexed juveniles - $75 each
2x Thrixopelma ockerti, 2" unsexed juveniles - $60 each

I would take $600 for the whole package, which is a savings of $180 on the individually listed prices, and I will throw in three mature males, in case you find breeding partners. (Poeciltheria fasciatum, Acanthogonathus francki, and a new unidentified species referred only to as sp. Columbia.) I will also throw in a dwarf Aponopelma "ordii" collected from Arizona a couple of years ago.

Thanks for your interest!

A lot of unsexed spiders there... No shenanigans at Sister Arachnodisiac's spider orphanage apparently. ;)

Was thinking of bait for bull trout, but not at those prices, though the fight would be amazing to watch!

Aren't most places live bait-free in Alberta?

I suspect that Jacen should be on this thread pretty quick...I will link it to the local Tarantula society's mailing-list, too.

Thank you!

No problem...your prices are good, and there are a few species on there that I know a few members are interested in acquiring.

Personally, I would love another B. auratum, but I need to sell a few tarantulas off myself, and 'hobby money' is being directed towards fly fishing and tying stuff for the next couple of months.

I am definitely interested. I will talk it over with my wife and see what she and I will be interested in and I will let you know. Thanks for forwarding this to the list Christian.

I for sure want the C fasciatum and I am interested in the smaller C Cyaneopubescens and probably T ockerti.

Terrific!

Of all of those spiders, I am most unsure about parting with the T. ockerti. Those guys are awesome, but they kick hairs to beat hell.
They certainly have behaviour that I've only seen in Xenesthis, and maybe a species of Pamphobeteus I've kept. I may end up changing my mind about those two. :)

I hear ya! I need flies and rifles!
It's funny how so many rely on their spiders as a back-up resource to find other hobbies.

Well, if I didn't' know it was latin, all those names would be greek to me!!!! lol

Yup, me too. And while I appreciate other people's hobbies, I gotta say, spiders give me the willies like nothing else. Some of the ones that crawled around my trailer when I lived in Mexico......I can hardly suppress a shudder! We had Black widows with abdomens the size of grapes living under my porch...:scared0018:

This would be my motto.....

Although their names are in Latin, it is more precisely referred to as their scientific name. For instance, we are Homo sapiens. :)

As far as fear, everybody is different. Personally, I love widows and have often kept them. It's all fun until they start laying egg sac after egg sac. ;)

Held some monsters out in Victoria a few months ago.... it was neat, but not my thing that's for sure!

I'am kinda getting board with fish. Would these spiders be ok with a green horn? Do they only eat crickets or is there something else they can be fed that is easyer to come by in the small town of Pincher? Sorry I don't know much about them but willing to learn.

My wife and I will definitely take a C. Fasciatum. I used to have one in my old collection. Let me know more details, when we could meet, and such. Thanks!

Yes, most of these would be okay with a beginner. There are a couple of "hotter" spiders in there that you might want to skip, or I would just have to teach you a little about them.

They only need to eat once every week or two. I buy my crickets from Lethbridge. They don't have any special heat or light requirements. They are in fact much easier to look after than fish, but infinitely more interesting.

And I'm only 20 minutes from Pincher, so if you ever needed help rehousing them, or sexing them, I could be more than willing to help! It would be so, so nice to have a local spider friend!

Does Wednesday work for you at all? I can do day, or early evening.
If so, pm me your contact info and address, and we'll work it out.
Thanks!

You may want to check with your local science teacher. I have taken in a few orphans over the years. Bearded dragon, fish, gecko etc. students find it very interesting and lots of opportunity for enrichment throughout the year.

Hope they all find good homes.

Greetings fellow arachnid lover. I cant exactly afford the whole lot, otherwise i would take them all, however, i am quite interested in your C. cyaneopubescens, female adult in exoterra upright terrarium. I am hoping that maybe you would be willing to come down in price to perhaps $100. I live in Edmonton, however i may have missed you coming to the city. i also wanted to post a pic of the beautiful female Grammostola aureostriata i have named Azriel. Please message me and let me know if we can make a deal or not. i may also be able to find a way for transportation, but we will figure that out when we cross that bridge. thanks alot.
