Can't say as I know a breeder of French Brittanys but I would have a look at the CKC or AKC web sites as they often have links to breeders or just plain google them. At the risk of having this post removed I know of some American Brittanys available at the end of the month from a very good breeding. PM me if interesed.

Pick up an issue of the Magazine Gun Dog its full of breeder adds. You may want to contact Wildrose NAVHDA they might have a litsting for you or you could try googling it.

I believe there is a 'Bleu Picardie' breeder in Millarville...as Ryan says, check out the NAVHDA site or Calgary Pointing Dog Club, last I knew he was associated with both organizations.

Just trying to help Rusty with looking at one of the more local French 'Epagneuls' breeders. IMHO wheather it's a Bleu Picardie, Francais, Picard, Pont-Audemer or Breton...they are all fine working Brittany's and you can't go wrong (I've only had the good fortune to hunt a few times with a Bleu, but have seen some hunting Francais and Bretons...they all kinda looked like Brittany's to me).
Go to the sites Ryan provided and try searching some of the overseas sites, you'll learn more about the breed(s) and might be able to find an overseas breeder that's willing to sell.
As Ryan has often pointed out, European hunting dogs pass hunting test's/trials in order to actually hunt and eventually breed.

I was under the assumption that the american britt was the french britt,so i was wrong .i want an american britt.Thanks

In that case there are only a handful of people I would personally go to here in AB. The guy uptop Vindalbakken will give you a good dog, Brunen's Brittanys (Vern and Kim Brunen), and the last one is in Saskatchewan Kinwashkly.

From there Maverick Brittanies on this board has some great lines he is in Ontario as well as Dave Walker in Idaho. Bob Burchett wouldnt be a bad place to start looking either.

We are coming up to the test and trial season here in Alberta. You may want to come to a few of the trials and tests to see the local dogs and how they run. Alot of firendly people that like to talk dogs. If you want more information please feel free to PM myself or go onto the CKC event calendar.

I would recommend these three the first will have a fall litter with awsome blood lines. Some breeders are very overbearing and less than helpful unless you go with their every word. I will say that I think highly of these breeders based on my limited experiance, good luck you have already made a great choice by going with the American Brittany you will have no regrets.
