Im going to give lake trout fishing a try in early june up at cold lake, i have never fished lake trout before, can anyone give me tips on the process? I.e. Depth, lures, speed, colour, where abouts on the lake, camping and launching sites.
Thanks Toddjler:confused:

I-Pilot trolling motor hovering over 80-130 fow. Jigging White tube jigs aggressively.
Or same depths, riggers trolling spoons!

thanks guys
Walleye, would he have to add extra weight to the tube jigs in order to get them down that deep? If so, how would he set it up? BEL

In winter we jig one oz cold lake specials but even 2 oz should work good in the summer!!

half wave about 10' behind a down rigger and vary between 45' and 15' deep.
Troll up in the north end quite a ways out from shore , east of the martineau river in 90' or so.
a herring done up like a west coast salmon rig works too. Salt your herring and get a nice slow roll.
Best of luck
