Here is a video I pieced together from our paddle on the Red Deer River... we tried to paddle upstream but the current was pretty strong. Think we ended up making it maybe 300 meters... But we had fun and got to try out the new boat and some of the cool new items from sponsors.

Give it a look..

I would like to see you guys run the Red Deer in those boats from Sundre.

Now were talking about playing.

I would love it.. Not afraid to hit some rough water..

Plus I also have outriggers / stabilizers for mine for sight casting and standing fly fishing

Is it worth bringing a pontoon to float the red deer for browns if I make it up there this summer?

I haven't checked out the red deer in a really long time and have never thought about floating it but if I am in the area I would like to try hooking into a few of the browns that swim in those waters.

That would be completely up to you... alot of the area can be accessed on foot.. but any kind of boat to float down on would be great... I plan on doing alot of it myself this summer
