I've owned a 6.5/303IMP, a 25, and they were a lot of fun.
The 6.5/303 was on a Martini action
There is a 22/303 IMP out there as well, reamers are available from Pacific Tool and Gauge.

the 6.5 sounds really interesting! where can you find reloading or ballistic info on it? the martini sound s like it was an expensive endeavour? would it have to be a strong action or thickwalled type, or is it possible to use a bolt action.

Mine's a large framed Greener action, and it was bight that way, pretty inexpensive, actually, and strong.

There is limited data in Cartridges of the World, and I worked up data on quickload as well.

You could use a bolt action , but a falling block would be more suited with the rimmed case, and a classier look to it.
if you are looking at building a better mouse trap however, the 303 brit is not the case to use IMO.:)

Pick up both volumes of P.O. Ackleys books, all sorts of wildcats to gander at.

I think the .303 Bit case has been wildcatted in just about every common calibre, in its orginal and Epps formats.

The 6mm and .25 seem popular in Australasia and a 6mm version was commercialised in South Africa in the 1950's - the 6mm Musgrave. PMP still makes brass and ammunition for it there.

Yes actually my gunsmith made a 7mm-303 and its pretty amazing.

( 303 british case neck down to accept a 7mm bullet. )

As mentioned above in Australia they seem to build a lot of .303/.25 s. And that is what they call them not .25/.303 as we would.

I knew a fellow who had one and figured it was just the greatest kangaroo rifle. But his dad used a .22 hornet and thought his son wasted money with every shot he took.
