Hello, im looking for a gun that is accurate, can shoot pretty much everything (deer, elk, coyotes, gophers). Im hoping for a gun that has relatively cheap ammo and looks nice. MUST have little kick (12 ga shotgun ish) or a little more. Please send your suggestions.

Go squeeze a few, and decide for yourself.

Anything north of a 6.5x55(260Rem) to about 338WinMag will suite your needs.
fit, finsh, and style, are as individual as the end user.

Having someone else choose your rifle, well you might as well get them to shoot it for you too.:thinking-006:

You might find shooting gophers with a center fire a bit cost prohibitive.....:)

For an all rounder, my vote consistently goes to the 7mm08. Just because I got one, and I am smitten with it. Low recoil, accurate, plenty of punch for deer to moose. Coyotes get pounded like the hammer of God with it. 140gr, the do-all bullet weight. Ballistic tips for deer and coyote, TTSX, Accubond, Partition for the bigger tougher critters. Now that you know your calibre, go find a rifle that fits you.

You're welcome.....:)

can shoot pretty much everything (deer, elk, coyotes, gophers). : 300 win mag ( Enormous bullet selection for the .30 caliber is awesome even for gophers. )

TC venture 7mm rem. magnum hands down less recoil than a 12 gauge only $500 bucks reliable VERY VERY VERY accurate and as much bullet selection as a .30 cal.

You want everything don't you? Any cartridge that is suitable for shooting elk would not be a good choice for shooting gophers. As far as cheap factory ammunition goes, the 270win,30-30,308win, and 30-06, are about as cheap as it gets for a cartridge suitable for elk. As far as looks are concerned, that is totally subjective. Buy yourself a 22lr for shooting gophers, and then buy a lower priced 308win, or 30-06 for everything else. If you intend to handload, you will have many more options for cheaper ammunition.

That is absolutly true because peoples asking sometimes on the forum or behind the counter for a rifle just dont have a clue what is a 308 or a 30-06. So lets do this that way.. When you have no idea what X caliber is then ask a friend to shoot his to figure out how you like it then pick your favorite!

I have a 7mm rem mag and a 270 wsm and have enjoyed them both very much. Shot mule deer at 100 50 yards to elk over 400 yards. Find someone with a couple gund and shoot a couple rounds. Make sure that you get something that your comfortable with and that you will enjoy for ever.:sHa_shakeshout:
