Heh, you need money to hunt there... And be a club member... ;)
Wonder if the old Jäger are dying out? I wouldn't be surprised if their young people aren't interested in hunting. Most of them have never seen the inside of an animal; they're pretty sheltered in general: "Ach, die armen Tiere!*"

yes, and it's getting worse.
It used to be complicated and expensive to become a hunter but I think for young guys wnating to get into the sport now it's even worse.
I remember the uncle who took me out when I was 8. The licenses and leases and permissions he had back then would be very expensive now.

We won't have that problem in Alberta. After Open Spaces there will be plenty of foreigners willing to pay $10,000 to come rid us of the problem :lol: Mind you, none of us will be able to do it. ;)
