Heading to Toronto for a few days near the end of the month and wanting to get in a day of fishing. Wondering if anyone has any info on any guides. Trout, salmon, pike, muskie, walleye ect. just want to find a good day on the water really. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.:)

are you looking to fish on lake ontario? or are you going to be travelling outside the city?

not to far out of the city, possibly down to the falls. trying to find out what fish are going to be around this time of year out there to make the choice of lake ontario or something smaller or even river fishing. Doesn't really matter, as long as i get out for a day and maybe catch something i've never caught.

you could always go out on a salmon charter on lake ontario I've only heard good things from http://www.salmonexpress.com/index.htm I haven't personally been but some of my friends went and had a great time.

If you travel an hour to a little town called Dunnville there is the Grand River,There is lots of bank fishing plus there is a few guide services. The river holds Bass,Pike,Walleye,Trout,Crappie,Catfish and lots of coarse fish There is a guide there Steve Piggott one of the catfish guides you will find will take you to some huge cats. Bass season don't open till near end of june 4th sat. but their there. If you go Niagara way you can fish the lower Niagara for Spring Kings/Lake Trout/Brown Trout/Coho Salmon. Lots of fishing all over that area. Good Luck

When Dave mercer was in town last year I asked him same question, he pulls out his phone and gives me his buddys number Simon Frost, 2 weeks later he is a guest on 1 of dave's show....Met him in fort erie 10min from falls, we fished niagra river , and lake erie, he has a slick bass boat withh 300hp motor, all new shiamno gear cost me 300 for me and my ole man, for 8 hrs of fishing..I wanted to bass fish for the first time and it was awsome... probably got 25 through the day, both largies and smallies biggest smallie was bigger than my largest bucketmouth...I strongly recomend Simon....

thanks to all for the info, ended up doing the lake ontario charter with Salmon Express and had a blast! They were all fantastic and once they knew i was experienced, all they did was drive the boat and pick the lures. Was a great trip with great guids full of lots of info. Would recommend them to anyone else. 4 chinook (kings) landed biggest 20 lbs., smallest about 10 lbs, 7 coho around 4-6 lbs. and 4 lakers, biggest about 18 lbs. lost a few as well, one was the one that got away as it hammered the rod and stripped about 250 yrds of line right now and got of after a couple good head shakes. lots of fillets in the freezer just in time for the bbq season.
