Nope still ice on the lakes around my area, just not safe to walk on them now.

Make sure you check the regs, because the lakes are open does not mean you can fish them before May 8. The only open for fishing lakes are in south, ie: Payne down by Mountain View.

edsonfishermen, i was thinking the same as you about being unsafe but drove out to obed to see how it was doing and there were 4 trucks parked in the channel. I couldnt belive it, i dont like driving on that lake in its winter glory. (I am assuming by your name you know obed area?)
