I can hardly wait, I've got the new ride tuned up and ready to go.
He's big, strong and smart as a whip.

Beautifull looking animal you have there...my wife is the horse person in our family and i know she would be jealous as well as happy for you at the same time...you know what i mean! I hope you both get to enjoy each others company for many years to come...your horse and you i mean...not my wife!:sHa_shakeshout:

Beautiful Horse. Buckskins are my favorite. They look like a work horse, unlike a prancy frilly Palomino. Looks like he could turn a steer pretty handily.

I just picked up 75 horses a couple days ago too.

Thanks guys the way he's turning out I couldn't ask for a better mount. Somebody once said you need to put around a thousand miles on a horse before you are both comfortable and trust each other. You just sit in the saddle on this guy and it just feels right. There are going to a couple learning curves along the way but he has shown his trust in me putting him in a couple places that he was unfamiliar with.
I have to agree with you Olderangler Barlow doesn't hold up in the run against the Bride. However if the horse was better looking than the bride I'd have to take Zip up on his almost offer. Hey Zip how about a picture of your wife's horse just in case my bride reads this today before I get home.:)

Well Bruce very nice looking ride I havent spent much time on horses but always enjoy when I get a chance. An old timer once told me horses are like guns if they feel right they work right.

Nice ride Bruce, seems like everyone loves the buckskins. Currently looking for one myself for my bride to be. She just loves buckskins.

How's the gas mileage?

Probably OK, till he gets the 'Walking Farts'...

Beautiful critter, for sure. I like 'em all. Duns, Buckskins, Sorrels, Blacks, Greys, Bays, Roans... mostly, as I'm horseless at the moment and ride with friends who are kind enough to loan, I like whichever one has an empty saddle...:)

I guess we should have started a thread with pictures of our 4 legged rides.
sunsetrider2011 that guy looks like he'd do a days work and then some.
whitetailhntr that guy is looking good and smart.
Here's my stand by that the kids ride a Walker/Peruvian that is smooth and solid every time out. He seems to know who's on him and he is super gentle with my Mother but will take to the mountians in adverse weather riding or packing.

My biggest problem is time constraints - too many things on the go!:thinking-006:
Thank you for the very generous offer however!
