barbed hook and a steel leader what kind of trout are they stocking in there???

but you can never be to safe, in fact, I always fish with a steel leader. The only time it is a pain is when I have to stick styrofoam onto the leader to fish with a dry fly. I usually put hooks on the styrofoam too, thats how I catch all my brown trout.

it never ceases to amaze me some of the the things people attach to their line to catch trout. i sometimes wonder if they are trying to hit the fish on the head to knock it out.

So how was the fishing there?.....ive been by there many times but never stopped to chuck a line.

It wasn't ..lol they have not stocked yet this year so not sure what is left. the perch are in pre spawn so it is hard to say what the little buggers are doing.
will have to go back with boat and cam and see what's going on.

Haha, so true... I lived there for 5 years and lots of people didn't buy snow shovels, they used old pieces of plywood nailed onto a length of 2x4. Guess I shouldn't knock it, it did seem to get the job done...
