yes i have fish alot of differn't National Parks .. but i am bais to Jasper National as it is so close to me .. i love Maligne Lake as imo it is the best Brook Trout /Rainbow combo lake in North America and the scenery is unreal..
it is the Whole Package

Want to fish Maliigne this year. Anyone know when the ice generally comes off and when one could start getting in there to fish.

ice come's off May 14 to June 12 in the last 33 years i have been going allthough the ice will come off home bay earlier some years and you can fish it

Hiked in to Amethyst Lake a couple of times. But have actually had the most luck in Waterton.

Amethyst Lake has got alot of great scenery around it.. Unfortuantely I didn't know it was such a good fishing lake until after we got back.. We hadn't decided before hand where to go, but it was nice to see it..

Maligne Lake is my all time favourite lake. The fishing is great. The scenery is great. You can only use electric motors, there are rentals available in Jasper if needed. I'm heading there in June.

In just about every province, AB and NL were the best. Geraldine lake in Jasper (a big rainbow) and Terra Nova river in NL, just beautiful.

Lots of awesome lakes and rivers all through out Jasper. I fish there regularly and always enjoy it.
