Tag question

My buddy and i were having a discussion about bow hunting and rifle hunting.
If you buy a general whitetail tag for bow season and are successful, can you buy another general tag for rifle season, or does it carry over if unsuccessful? I was told that you can buy a bow tag for the bow zone only, around edmonton, and then get a general tag for everywhere else. is this true as well?

No such thing as a general bow tag. If you buy a general tag it's good for bow and/or rifle season.....where valid of course. There are some additional opportunities in the zones around Calgary and Edmonton that you can buy tags for in addition to other tags. Perhaps that's where the confusion lies.

ya but can you buy a tag for zone 248 specifically?
