How many more years could a 47" pike expect to live?

No matter what you do with the 40,000 some members here someone will usually chit on your parade....don't let it get to you....everyone is a catch and release fisherman when someone keeps a big fish.:rolleye2::sEm_oops2:

I dont judge if you want to keep a small fish or have to keep a big breeder like the one in the pic, if its allowed its your choice. I also agree that for the sake of not harming fish unnecesarily, you should invest in at least a 8 inch auger. Nice pike by the way.

nice pike,
x2 on the larger auger. Not a lot of pike will fit through a 6" hole, unless they are little babies.

Not sure, but she probably got that big because she didn't smoke (or drink Lucky Lager) :)

there are/were some huge fish in that lake. I lost one that I couldnt get through a 9 inch hole, havent had much luck there that last couple years though. guess yours made it though the big winterkill

could very well be the one you are aware of caught the year before that measured forty six inches and weighed in at twenty five pounds you remember the one did i send you a pic of it i wasn't there at the time but my buddy let if go of course and based on the numbers it seems reasonable i dont think a fish that big grows much longer but the weight can differ after a meal or after a few luckys it could get longer and heavier to

I talked to the F and w guy there he said he used to get some monsters on the fly, before it got popular. they grew fast in there, lots of big pike to eat
